The President of the Appeal Chamber, Mrs. Albana Shtylla attended the solemn opening hearing of the judicial year 2022 of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), held in Strasbourg, France, on June 24, 2022, and attended as well by leading figures from the European judicial world.
Prior to the solemn hearing, a seminar was held on “Human rights protection in the time of the pandemic: new challenges and new perspectives”, which was opened by the President of the ECtHR, Mr. Robert Spano, and was followed by other speakers, mainly judges of the Constitutional Courts of the member states of the Council of Europe.
Whereas in the solemn hearing, in addition to the President of the ECtHR, Mr. Robert Spano, keynote speakers were the President of Greece, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou, honorary guest of the event, and Mrs. Dunja Mijatović, Commissioner for Human Rights at the Council of Europe, who addressed representatives of the highest courts of the 46 member states of the Council of Europe, as well as various local, national and international authorities.
The representatives of Albania in this event were also the President of the Constitutional Court Mrs. Vitore Tusha and the Vice President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Sokol Sadushi.
