Today, on 19.06.2023, at 10:00, the Appeal Chamber held the public hearing of case (JR) 37/2022, dated 01.09.2022, pertaining to the appeal of the Public Commissioner against decision no. 535, dated 26.05.2022, of the Independent Qualification Commission related to the assessee Bledar Bejko.
The presiding judge asked about and the parties confirmed that the Chamber had forwarded to them the additional documentation received by the Prosecution Office at Durrës First Instance Court, in view of the further investigations related to three public denunciations.
The Public Commissioner stated that the documentation forwarded by the Prosecution Office at Durrës First Instance Court had no influence on her final requests, therefore, she left their evaluation to the discretion of the court.
The assessee stated that, not only the denunciations, which are being examined by the AC, are not part of the appeal, but they are also unfounded. With regard to the documentation forwarded by the Prosecution Office at Durrës First Instance Court, the assessee claimed that no findings were found therein, on the basis of which the need for further examinations could arise in the context of his proficiency assessment. In support of these claims, the assessee filed several documents, which were accepted as evidence by the court, which then declared the investigation closed.
Once the parties stated that they had no other procedural requests, the trial panel decided to close the judicial review of the case and invited the parties to submit their final conclusions.
At the request of the Public Commissioner for sufficient time for the preparation of the final conclusions, the court decided to postpone the court session to June 22 at 10:00.
The public hearing shall take place at the premises of the Appeal Chamber, at Boulevard “Dëshmorët e Kombit”, no. 3, Tirana.
