Today, on 10.01.2024, at 10:00, the Appeal Chamber held the public hearing of case (JR) 33/2023, dated 20.07.2023, pertaining to the appeal of the Public Commissioner against decision no. 671, dated 14.06.2023, of the Independent Qualification Commission, related to the assessee Ylli Bashaj.
The presiding judge informed the parties at trial that on January 8, 2024, the International Monitoring Operation filed with the Appeal Chamber a finding and an opinion, a copy of which was made available to them during today’s hearing, in Albanian and English.
When questioned by the presiding judge, the Public Commissioner, Mrs. Irena Nino, stated that she will have a stand about the document during the submission of the final conclusions.
On the other hand, the assessee requested the trial panel for sufficient time to be acquainted with the document and to state his position with its regards. In response to the request of the assessee, the panel decided to postpone the hearing to January 15, 2024, at 09:00.
The public hearing will take place in the premises of the Appeal Chamber, at Boulevard “Dëshmorët e Kombit”, no. 3, Tirana.
