The President of the Appeal Chamber Mrs. Albana Shtylla welcomed today at the premises of the Chamber, the Ambassador of Germany in Tirana His Excellency Mr. Peter Zingraf. During this meeting, Mrs. Shtylla acquainted the ambassador on the progress that the vetting process has made so far and in particular, with the concerns, challenges and the commitment of the Appeal Chamber to have a fast and successful process. During the meeting, it was discussed as well the importance and the preparations that the Appeal Chamber is making within the framework of the disciplinary jurisdiction for the justice system.

On his part, Ambassador Zingraf expressed his readiness to become a mediator in establishing a relationship of cooperation and exchange of experiences regarding the Disciplinary Jurisdiction between the Appeal Chamber and the competent German Court that reviews the disciplinary proceedings against judges and prosecutors who have violated the law, as a very important element in restoring the public trust in the justice system.

The President of the Appeal Chamber thanked the Ambassador for his constant support provided to the re-evaluation institutions, as an essential element for the success and progress of the vetting process and justice reform in its entirety.
