The Appeal Chamber held on 04.11.2019, at 10:00 h, the public hearing of case (JR) no. 33/2018, dated 12.11.2018, corresponding to the appeal of the Public Commissioner against decision no. 58 dated 01.08.2018 of the Independent Qualification Commission related to the transitional re-evaluation of the assessee Besnik Muçi.

During this hearing the parties made their respective observations on the responses of the Prosecution office at Serious Crimes First Instance Court, Tirana, and Prosecution office at the First Instance Court, Tirana with regard to the additional information considered necessary for the case, requested by the adjudication panel at the previous hearing. The assessee, after submitting a few submissions, requested the adjudication panel the collection of some new evidences, to the purpose of the review of the case.

The panel decided to not allow the collection as evidence of the acts in Greek and Turkish languages, as they were not legalized diplomatically or having an apostille, whereas it allowed the collection as evidence of the other written acts.With regard to the acts collected as evidence, the adjudication panel requested the Public Commissioner to submit an assessment of them in the next hearing, scheduled to be held on 07.11.2019, at 09:30 h.

The public hearing shall be held at the premises of the Appeal Chamber, at: Bulevardi “Dëshmorët e Kombit”, nr.3. Tirana.
